Abstract
ABSTRACT Liquid crystals (LCs) represent a thermodynamically stable state of matter, exhibiting physical properties that lie between those of liquids and solids. These compounds exist in mesophase form and have been the focus of extensive research. Innovative LC materials with unique characteristics are now widely utilised in LC displays and various industrial applications. Over recent decades, there has been a significant surge in research on chalcone-based liquid crystal compounds, particularly for their potential in organic light-emitting diodes, photovoltaic devices, and biological systems. In this article, we have successfully explored the synthesis methods and physical parameters of mesomorphic chalcone-based compounds.
