Abstract

This chapter discusses tissues sources, regulation of expression, and structure of CC chemokine receptor 3 (CC CKR-3). The family of CC CKR-3 is G-protein coupled receptor family, a chemokine receptor branch of rhodopsin family. The tissue sources include human monocyte cDNA library. The in vitro biological effects include calcium influx, and decrease in cAMP accumulation. HEK 293 cells stably expressing CC CKR3 showed calcium influx in response to MIP-1α, MIP-1β and RANTES, not MCP-3. The protein structure of CC CKR-3 is also elaborated.
