Abstract

A carbon-coated nickel phosphide composite catalyst, Ni2P@C, was fabricated by a PVP-assisted pyrolysis–phosphidation of Ni-MOF, affording an exceptionally high-efficiency production of 2-methylfuran via HDO of furfuryl alcohol at mild temperature.
