Abstract

Electronic journals, or e‐journals, can come in many forms, and are of interest for many reasons. In the growing environment of information retrieval under a client/server model, e‐journals are seen as one of the principle means of timely delivery for sharing data and information. Commercial and shareware systems for accessing e‐joumals are currently in experimental modes, but already many successes are setting the tone for how systems will be used in the near future to search and access back issues of e‐journals.
