Abstract

The joint experience of the Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk and the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in developing startup technology for the PK-85 boiler-utilizer (heat recovery steam generator) at the Novogor’kovskaya heat and electric power plant is discussed. Criteria for the operational reliability of the components of the boiler-utilizer under transient conditions are formulated. The effect of regulator controls during startup of the boiler from different thermal states on its dynamic characteristics is studied computationally. Recommendations for the startup of boilers are developed on the basis of these studies and the proposed criteria.
