Abstract
The absolute photopeak efficiency values for three true coaxial Ge(Li) detectors different in size with an annular source geometry have been calculated. The total detector volumes are 144.9 cm 3, 82.1 cm 3, 28.9 cm 3. The sources are 0.1 cm, 1.0 cm and 3.0 cm in height. The inner diameter of the sources is equal to the diameter of the p-core and the outer diameter equal to the diameter of the detector in every case. The efficiency values have been calculated for water as a medium in the source and for the case of O-absorption in the source. The calculations were performed with the Monte Carlo method using a Univac 1100 computer.
