Abstract

The generalizing results of the activity of the laboratory of molecular genetics in the field of creation of genetically modified plants are presented. Under the leadership of academician N.A. Kartel created transgenic plants of tobacco, arabidopsis, potato, foxglove, rapeseed with genes rhlA and rhlB rhamnolipid biosynthesis, endochitinase chiA, cry3aM Bacillus thuringiensis encoding delta endotoxin, cyp11a1 cytochrome p450scc of animal origin, glucose oxidase, resistance to the herbicide glufosinate, etc. The prospects are considered in the field of plant transgenesis.
