Abstract

We study six ornamented bronzes from the north-west and the north-western Meseta of the Iberian Peninsula and dated to the later Iron Age that can be defined as «sacrificial bronzes» because of the relationship of their scenes and iconographic motifs (zoomorphs, cauldrons, torcs, axes) to sacrificial rituals. Topographical and historiographical study of this material introduces new aspects to the analysis of the subject.
