Abstract
En este artículo presentamos algunos testimonios arqueológicos de lámparas de vidrio y portamechas localizados en contextos de los siglos V-VII, en el grupo episcopal de Barcelona y en el de Egara (Terrassa). Asimismo, se aborda el significado que tenían las lámparas y la iluminación en los edificios de culto, su estatus y consideración a través de los textos escritos y el simbolismo teológico de la luz.
