Abstract

We discuss the existence of (extrinsically) biharmonic maps between spheres having the join symmetry which is well known from the theory of harmonic maps. Among the examples we can construct, several are in nontrivial homotopy classes. The constructions are explicit up to solving a fourth order ordinary differential equation.
