Abstract

The importance of children‘s literature and its translation occupies a special position all over the world, as the target groups of readers are children. Using three different children‘s books translated from German into Albanian, the various possibilities of translating personal names in children‘s literature are examined. Due to these different children‘s books, it is examined which principles can or must be used to translate the names, and whether the fact that it is children‘s literature has a particular effect on the translation process and the results. In this article, the central terms include children‘s literature, proper names, alienated and naturalizing translations.
