Abstract
Whe know that Bede was one of the Raban’s sources and that Raban and that Raban wrote his biblical commentaries especially in order to complete Bede. But the in honorem sanctae crucis is greatly poetical work in which Raban generally doesn’t mention of his sources and in which nobody surmised that he made use of Bede. At his time the use of CD-ROM allows us to affirm that Raban liberally took in Bede’s work which he often uses in large textual quoations. That allows us to better conceive how the young Raban worked. In reality the in honorem sanctae crucis can be seen as introductory to his exegetic work.
