Abstract

In this paper, three compounds with Schiff-base functional group were successfully synthesized by several simple reactions. These three compounds can be used as good ligands for metal ions. Fluorescent probe has been favored by researchers because of its high sensitivity, high selectivity, practicability and simple operation method. A new fluorescent probe for the detection of Al3+ is the focus of this paper. From the photoluminescence spectrum, after the addition of Al3+, the maximum emission wavelengths of the three compounds have a large distance bathochromic shift, and a new emission peak appears on the right side of the maximum emission peak of the original compound. In order to verify the binding sites of aluminum ions, electronic calculation results show that after binding with Al3+, the HOMO and LUMO energy levels and energy gap values of the complexes decrease, indicating that the complexes become more stable. It is practical and feasible to detect Al3+ in wastewater.
