Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical curative effect of baofukang suppository combined with modified simiao decoction on treatment of colpitis mycotica and human papilloma virus (HPV) infection. Methods A total of 120 cases of colpitis mycotica and 120 cases of HPV infection patients who were admitted in Chengde Central Hospital from March 2017 to March 2018 were chosen as research objects. With the random number table method, 120 colpitis mycotica patients were divided into observation group-1 (n=60) and control group-1 (n=60), respectively; while other 120 HPV infection patients were divided into observation group-2 (n=60) and control group-2 (n=60), respectively. The observation group-1 and observation group-2 were both treated with baofukang suppository combined with modified simiao decoction; while control group-1 and control group-2 were both only treated with baofukang suppository. The patients′ age, course of disease, and curative effect evaluation indexes including total effective rate and adverse reaction rates etc., were compared between observation group-1 and control group-1, also between observation group-2 and control group-2 by independent-samples t test and chi-square test. This study was consistent with World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki revised in 2013. All patients and their family members were informed and signed the informed contents. Results ①There were no significant differences between observation group-1 and control group-1 in patients′ age, course of disease, incidence rates of vulvar discomfort and algopareunia (P>0.05). The total effective rate of observation group-1 was 93.3%, which was significantly higher than that of 75.0% in control group-1; while the colpitis mycotica recurrence rate of observation group-1 was 5.0%, which was significantly lower than that of 23.3% in control group-1, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=6.968, P=0.012; χ2=6.511, P=0.016). ② There were no significant differences between observation group-2 and control group-2 in patients′ age, course of disease, levels of serum tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interferon-α before treatment, as well as the incidence rates of vulvar discomfort, lower abdominal pain, leucorrhea abnormality and contact bleeding (P>0.05). The total effective rate, HPV negative conversion rate, and levels of TNF-α and interferon-α after treatment in observation group-2 were 88.3%, 83.3%, (8.78±0.12) ng/L and (7.69±0.45) ng/L, which were significantly higher than those of 71.7%, 63.3%, (6.97±0.17) ng/L and (6.45±0.34) ng/L in control group-2, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=6.097, P=0.041; χ2=7.156, P=0.012; t=6.214, P=0.026; t=5.861, P=0.048). Conclusions Baofukang suppository combined with modified simiao decoction would have better therapeutic effect than use baofukang suppository only in treatment of colpitis mycotica and HPV infection.
