Abstract

In the article, the current situation in the international tourism market, its development dynamics, and general economic effects are presented. The changes in international tourism and the impact of the post-pandemic period on the tourism sector were studied, and growth forecasting was researched. The article investigates the effects of the tourism industry on the macroeconomic development of Azerbaijan, its share in the GDP, the changes that occurred during the global pandemic, the state's policy in this field, and the development trends in the post-pandemic period. At the same time, the changes occurring in the tourism industry were analyzed using the main statistical figures and international experience was studied. The article mentions that in the post-pandemic period, the increase in domestic tourism in the country ensures the profitability of tourism enterprises in the regions. The development of international tourism in the country includes the presentation of products by destinations, the advertising of attractive places, and the presentation of services aimed at target countries.
