Abstract

The article considers the automation of temporary import of international transportation vehicles as a tool for optimizing customs operations at checkpoints. The implementation of the provisions of Article 351 of the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union defines as a priority the creation of conditions for accelerating and simplifying the movement of goods across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union. The analysis of the application of individual technical solutions related to the automation of the processes of registration of transit declarations, the introduction of a single software product for customs operations makes it possible to identify a negative impact on the overall capacity of customs authorities located on the border of the Eurasian Economic Union. The implementation of a fundamentally new approach, which makes it possible to significantly change the situation, is shown by the example of cardinal changes in the architecture and infrastructure of checkpoints, which makes it possible to automate customs operations performed with respect to goods and vehicles transported across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union as much as possible. The main attention is paid to solutions that, without requiring global investments, as well as processing technologies for customs operations, will significantly increase the capacity of checkpoints. One of such solutions is automation of temporary importation of international transportation vehicles.
