Automatic testing of electronic systems

Abstract

The great expansion in the use of electrical and electronic equipment over the past few years has imposed an increasing problem of testing and maintenance on both the manufacturer and the operator. Automatic test equipment can to a large degree solve this problem by increasing the speed and reliability of testing methods and by reducing the manpower involved. The author suggests that in the near future automatic testing will find other applications in expanding fields such as navigation, connumication, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
