Abstract

Automatic Hospital Management System (AHMS) is health care service software which is built to digitalize the various services rendered by a hospital. In this paper, the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Idah, is used as the case study for the hospital management system. The software functions are divided into three modules: administrative, medical and security modules. The aim of the AHMS is to save, retrieve, update and control the numerous activities that play out in the hospital on a daily basis. It is a web application which runs on the App Platform of Digital Ocean server, and built based on the agile software methodology. It is made of frontend, middleware and backend. Various programming languages were employed in the implementation of this work. Data transmission on the system is secured by a Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) token for each stream of data. Demonstrations carried out with the system showed high efficiency.
