Abstract
Introduction: This work presents an integrative literature review. Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on publications related to the role of nurses in the context of hemotherapy. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review (ILR) conducted using databases from the Virtual Health Library (VHL), indexed in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) platform, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. The final sample consisted of 15 publications, including 9 articles from the VHL platform and 6 articles from the CAPES platform. Results: The results highlight an urgent need for updates in services, with continued education being the most impactful strategy to address challenges in the context of hemotherapy. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that nurses play a role in all stages of the blood cycle.
