Abstract

Experimental results (PS-194) are discussed for keV-MeV protons and antiprotons penetrating gases and solids. Large differences are found in ionization and energy loss. These experimental results have led to new theoretical developments but the agreement with some of the antiproton measurements is not overwhelming. Future experiments with well-defined low energy antiproton beams are discussed.
