Abstract
Abstract Atlas 5251 is a wrought, non-heat-treatable, aluminum-magnesium alloy (5xxx series). Alloy 5251, registered in 1972, is essentially the same as the old N4 alloy and is produced primarily in Europe for a variety of common alloy applications. It offers properties similar to those of alloy 5052 for the same temper. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-484. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.
