Abstract
The article discusses the procedure for registering changes made to the design of vehicles in use. Data is provided on the distribution of accredited testing laboratories by region of the Russian Federation and the number of registered changes made to the design of vehicles. Algorithms have been developed for conducting preliminary technical examination and safety testing with the participation of regional divisions of testing laboratories.
