Abstract

In this paper, the performance of two different fibers in the RAC50 mix has been studied in association with Cube and cylinder compressive, split, and flexural strengths. Here two different fibers of basalt and polypropylene are considered individually for the RAC50 mix, and the fibers are incorporated with 1 and 2% by volume of cast specimens. The reference mix (NAC) is also considered in this study without adding fibers to compare strength results. The previous study affirmed that the strengths decrease as the recycled aggregate content increases in the convention mix to replace the original aggregate. Therefore, to compensate for the strength loss of the RAC50 (effective) mix, the addition of fibers has been considered, and the performance of this is checked with the reference mix (NAC).
