This article discusses the struggles of bank employees against the violent attacks of the dictatorship (1964-1985) in workers organizations. This process is particularly evidenced in the banking trade union bodies and anti-strike legislation embodied in the notorious Law 4.330/64 and Decree 1.632/78, which determines the right to and the prohibition of strikes.
