Abstract
The article explores the use of storytelling as a teaching tool to instruct fifth-grade students in Italian grammar. The author, a foreign language teacher, describes the creative process behind building a “grammar story” —an imaginary story set in a kingdom called Articulandia—to engagingly explain the use of definite articles in Italian. Through examples and anecdotes, the article highlights the effectiveness of “storification” in increasing students’ interest and participation. The author concludes by encouraging fellow teachers to experiment with this method, suggesting the sharing of other grammatical stories as a collective educational resource.
