Abstract

The article describes the case of a 39-year-old patient hospitalized for paranoid schizophrenia at a mental health center in the Masovian Voivodeship. The patient participated in a series of individual art therapy workshops. During the program, it was recommended to stimulate the patient’s cognitive and emotional processes. Attention was also paid to working on the patient’s self-knowledge and shaping positive self-esteem. Relief of negative tensions, deepening of self-reflection, patient self-assessment and motivation were obtained.
