Abstract
Abstract Armco 18 SR is a ferritic stainless steel that provides excellent resistance to high temperature scaling. It is readily welded by conventional methods and is not subject to troublesome embrittlement or loss of corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zones that affect many other straight chromium alloys. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-259.
