Gagliardo was educated in that city's public school system, received his bachelor's degree from Western Reserve University, and his law degree from Cleveland Marshall Law School. A juvenile court judge since 1963, he has served as a Chief Probation Officer, Probation Department supervisor and practicing attorney prior to his election to the bench.
