Abstract

For some time now, Italian archeology has shifted the debate from History to the model of research, safeguard and valorization, to its suposed failure and to the need for new perspectives. It is proposed here another point of view on that model and on one of the reference points for that new persepctives, the European Convention on the Protection of the Archaeological Heritage (Valletta, 1992)
