Abstract

In Part I, the paper gives a general background of the registration and development of fission tracks in solid materials, and the conventional, optional methods of measuring induced-fission tracks. In Part II, the construction and use of a Spark Counter are described, together with applications to the U-content measurement and spatial-distribution in some actual geological samples.
