Abstract

Objective To investigation the effect of transcultural nursing theoretical on health education for the discharged patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction.Methods Selected 86 discharged patients with acute myocardial infarction from a hospital and were divided into intervention group and control group randomly,there was 43 patients each group.Both groups received conventional health education,on this basis,intervention group received the transcultural-nursing-theoretical-based health education.Then,observed two groups of health promotion lifestyle questionnaire score,quality of life scores after three months.Results Before the intervention,compared the health promoting lifestyle and quality of life score of the two groups,the difference was no statistically significant (t =0.00 ~ 1.765,t =0.645 ~ 1.615,P > 0.1).After three months,the health promotion lifestyle questionnaire score of the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (143.84 ±7.483 vs 126.86 ± 10.16,t =8.82,P <0.05),quality of life score of the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant [(79.07 ± 1.303) vs (77.26 ± 2.90),(89.15 ± 15.803) vs (78.30 ±20.42),(82.79 ±12.213) vs (75.58 ± 12.21),(77.70 ±6.231) vs (72.92 ±10.44),(78.29 ±7.305) vs (73.83 ± 5.92) ; P < 0.05].Conclusions As a guide to multicultural nursing theory,health education help to improve the lifestyle of patients,to increase their quality of life,which is an effective health education mode for patients with acute myocardial infarction after discharge.
