Abstract

Abstract The Behavior-Type (BT) method, which allows an efficient evaluation of polarized Raman scattering of defect ensembles in cubic crystals, has been applied to the OH stretch mode in SrTiO3 and KTaO3 Some general results of the extension of the BT method to tetragonal systems are given. Finally we discuss a scattering experiment, which allows a distinction between two competive models for the OH sites in SrTiO3 and KTaO3
