Abstract

The article deals with topical issues related to the problem of the outdated fleet of portable radio equipment, which are in service with the units of the internal affairs bodies, as well as the variety of technologies on the basis of which portable radio equipment is built. At present, both analog and digital portable radio stations of FM, DMR, TETRA and APCO P25 standards are simultaneously used in the internal affairs bodies. The portable radio communications used are not always able to meet the requirements for the timeliness and security of transmitted and received operationally significant information in the course of operational search activities. Failure to comply with the above requirements will inevitably lead to the impossibility of managing units, and as a result, to the disruption of operational-search activities.
