Abstract

The article is devoted to the search for new information technologies for cable network management at the physical level. The development of modern information technologies for various purposes is accompanied by a rapid growth in the volume and speed of transmitted information. To meet such needs, various methods are used, including the introduction of structured cabling systems (SCS), which determine the performance of information networks. SCS forms the basis of information systems at the physical level of a telecommunications network. SCS elements are integrated into a single complex and are operated according to certain rules. This allows you to create structures that are deployed regularly in local networks for various purposes. Ensuring the functioning of the SCS faces the problem of their administration in real time to prevent failures, namely: the need for constant monitoring of the state of individual ports of patch panels, the state of cable and switching equipment in cross-sections, because the deterioration of any parameter of the data transmission path affects the quality of operation during data transfer, and their search turns into a big loss of time. In addition, keeping the cable log of the SCS operation "in manual mode" has become a very routine and time-consuming process. In addition, taking into account the human factor, real accounting is kept at best during the first few months after the installation of the cable system, then the marks are performed irregularly, the loss of information about changes in the switching schemes begins, or there is a loss of such information at all. Naturally, this reduces the possibility of timely restoration of the operability of cable networks. Therefore, it becomes necessary to develop systems for dispatching the switching field, which in automatic mode in real time register all connections / disconnections of the switching cords and provide visualization of the status of the cross ports on the administrator's computer. This is possible due to the introduction of new information, telecommunication and intelligent technologies that can provide the system administrator with means of effective monitoring of the states of individual ports of the patch panels, control the electrical parameters of the data transmission path and automate decision-making using artificial intelligence. Based on the analysis of the functional purpose, specifics and characteristics of SCS, the main directions of the development of an intelligent control system for cable connections are determined in order to increase the efficiency of SCS application. It is shown that one of the important factors in increasing the efficiency of cable connections in such systems is to improve the management of operational activities and support processes for quality control of cable connections through the use of modern new intelligent and interactive SCS control technologies. Recommendations for the construction of the structure of the SCS physical infrastructure management system have been developed.
