Abstract

Objective To explore the application effects of hierarchical management in pharmacy intravenous admixture service (PIVAS). Methods The hierarchical management was carried out from January 2015 to December 2015. The comprehensive ability and the working quality of the staff in PIVAS and the degree of satisfaction of medical staff before and after carrying out hierarchical management were compared with the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) 16.0. Results After the implication of hierarchical management, the comprehensive ability of the staff in PIVAS was significantly improved including operational capacity, scientific research capacity, teaching capacity with significant differences (P<0.05); the score of satisfaction degree of medical staff significantly increased (P<0.05); the quality of work was significantly improved, and there were statistically significant differences among the scores of different dimensions (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of hierarchical management in PIVAS can fully stimulate the subjective initiative of the staff, improve the degree of satisfaction of the medical staff and the quality of service in PIVAS. So, the model of hierarchical management can be widely used in daily work in PIVAS. Key words: Hierarchical management; Clinical quality; Satisfaction Degree; Pharmacy intravenous admixture service
