Abstract

The cross-flow microfiltration (CFMF) technique is very useful in removing colloids and suspended solids in water and wastewater. Unlike the standard filtration techniques, accumulation of the filtered solids on filter medium can be minimized in cross-flow filtration by the shear action of flow since the direction of the feed flow is tangential to the filter surface.
