Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of clinical pathway on the nursing of patients with femoral neck fracture.Methods Patients with femoral neck fracture were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group.The conventional way of nursing was applied to the control group,while the clinical nursing pathway was applied to the experimental group.Effects of nursing were evaluated by the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) and satisfaction questionnaire.Results Scores on fear,interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety and depression for the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05).Compared with that of control group,the satisfaction for the nursing work in the experimental group was obviously enhanced (98.7% vs 87.25%) while the average hospitalization day was significantly reduced (P < 0.01).Conclusions Clinical nursing pathway can decrease the bad psychological reaction,enhance the nursing quality and satisfaction,shorten the hospitalization days and reduce the treatment cost.
