Application and research progress of artificial intelligence technology in trauma treatment

To review the application and research progress of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in trauma treatment. The recent research literature on the application of AI and related technologies in trauma treatment was reviewed and summarized in terms of prehospital assistance, in-hospital emergency care, and post-traumatic stress disorder risk regression prediction, meanwhile, the development trend of AI technology in trauma treatment were outlooked. The AI technology can rapidly analyze and manage large amount of clinical data to help doctors identify patients' situation of trauma and predict the risk of possible complications more accurately. The application of AI technology in surgical assistance and robotic operations can achieve precise surgical plan and treatment, reduce surgical risks, and shorten the operation time, so as to improve the efficiency and long-term effectiveness of the trauma treatment. There is a promising future for the application of AI technology in the trauma treatment. However, it is still in the stage of exploration and development, and there are many difficulties of historical data bias, application condition limitations, as well as ethical and moral issues need to be solved.

We are glad to introduce you that the 2021 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications (ICAITA 2021) was successfully held on September 10-12, 2021. In light of worldwide travel restriction and the impact of COVID-19, ICAITA 2021 was carried out in the form of virtual conference to avoid personnel gatherings. Because most participants were still highly enthusiastic about participating in this conference, we chose to carry out ICAITA 2021 via online platform according to the original schedule instead of postponing it.ICAITA 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications and related areas.This scientific event brings together more than 100 national and international researchers in artificial intelligence technologies and applications. During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given about 5-10 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches.We were pleased to invite three distinguished experts to present their insightful speeches. Our first keynote speaker, Prof. Yau Kok Lim, from Sunway University, Malaysia. His research interests include Applied artificial intelligence, 5G networks, Cognitiveradio networks, Routing and clustering, Trust and reputation, Intelligent transportation system. And then we had Prof. Peter Sincak, from Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. His research includes Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. Lastly, we were glad to invite Chinthaka Premachandra, from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Sri Lanka. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, image processing and robotics. In the last part of the conference, all participants were invited to join in a WeChat group to discuss and explore the academic issues after the presentations. The online discussion was lasted for about 30-60 minutes. The first two parts were conducted via online collaboration tool, Zoom, while the online discussion was carried out through instant communication tool, WeChat. The online platform enabled all participants to join this grand academic event from their own home.We are glad to share with you that we still received lots of submissions from the conference during this special period. Hence, we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. These papers feature following topics but are not limited to: Artificial Intelligence Applications & Technologies, Computing and the Mind, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence and other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of international publication standard.Lastly, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Chairman, the distinguished keynote speakers, as well as all the participants. With the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, global economic models and market structures are undergoing profound transformations, particularly in the fields of international trade and logistics, where the application of AI is becoming a key driver for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experience. Traditional international trade and logistics systems face multiple challenges such as supply chain opacity, high transportation costs, information asymmetry, and low operational efficiency. The introduction of AI technology, especially in areas such as big data analytics, machine learning, automation systems, and intelligent decision support, has gradually demonstrated its powerful potential in addressing these issues. This study aims to explore the specific applications of AI in international trade and logistics, as well as its role in driving the digital transformation of global supply chains. By analyzing the practical applications of AI in key areas such as supply chain management, trade data processing, and intelligent logistics, this paper seeks to provide valuable theoretical support and practical guidance for relevant enterprises and policymakers to promote industry development and enhance corporate competitiveness. To achieve this goal, the study adopts a case study approach, combining current industry data and AI technology development trends to comprehensively assess the current state and future potential of AI applications in international trade and logistics.

Artificial intelligence in physical education: comprehensive review and future teacher training strategies

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is deeply changing our lives and provides impetus for improving production and living efficiency as an important emerging tool. Digitalization and intelligent development have also become the development direction of the sports industry, bringing new requirements to the transformation of physical education (PE) and the improvement of the quality of PE teachers. PE is an important part of the public health system, and AI can deeply participate in the formulation of teaching strategies, the tracking of teaching processes and the evaluation of teaching results, effectively improving the quality of teaching. Research on the application of AI technology in PE has been carried out. This paper comprehensively reviews the existing research and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the research progress and status. The potential application areas of AI in PE are discussed to better promote the intelligent and digital upgrading of PE. We found that the research on the application of AI in PE is still in its early stages, and the research content needs to be strengthened in terms of breadth and depth. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the challenges faced by PE teacher development and training in the context of educational transformation in the era of AI, and explores the necessary skills and knowledge related to AI technology that future PE teachers should master in order to effectively achieve the improvement of teaching level and the sustainable development of public health system. The review of this paper provides valuable guidance for educators and policymakers to formulate high-quality teacher development and training mechanisms, and provides a new reference for the application and development of AI in sports.

Are We Ready to Integrate Artificial Intelligence Literacy into Medical School Curriculum: Students and Faculty Survey

Background:The effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology applications are already felt in healthcare in general and in the practice of medicine in the disciplines of radiology, pathology, ophthalmology, and oncology. The expanding interface between digital data science, emerging AI technologies and healthcare is creating a demand for AI technology literacy in health professions.Objective:To assess medical student and faculty attitudes toward AI, in preparation for teaching AI foundations and data science applications in clinical practice in an integrated medical education curriculum.Methods:An online 15-question semi-structured survey was distributed among medical students and faculty. The questionnaire consisted of 3 parts: participant’s background, AI awareness, and attitudes toward AI applications in medicine.Results:A total of 121 medical students and 52 clinical faculty completed the survey. Only 30% of students and 50% of faculty responded that they were aware of AI topics in medicine. The majority of students (72%) and faculty (59%) learned about AI from the media. Faculty were more likely to report that they did not have a basic understanding of AI technologies (χ2, P = .031). Students were more interested in AI in patient care training, while faculty were more interested in AI in teaching training (χ2, P = .001). Additionally, students and faculty reported comparable attitudes toward AI, limited AI literacy and time constraints in the curriculum. There is interest in broad and deep AI topics. Our findings in medical learners and teaching faculty parallel other published professional groups’ AI survey results.Conclusions:The survey conclusively proved interest among medical students and faculty in AI technology in general, and in its applications in healthcare and medicine. The study was conducted at a single institution. This survey serves as a foundation for other medical schools interested in developing a collaborative programming approach to address AI literacy in medical education.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has made leaps and bounds since its invention. AI technology can be subdivided into many technologies such as machine learning and deep learning. The application scope and prospect of different technologies are also totally different. Currently, AI technologies play a pivotal role in the highly complex and wide-ranging medical field, such as medical image recognition, biotechnology, auxiliary diagnosis, drug research and development, and nutrition. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common gastrointestinal cancer that has a high mortality, posing a serious threat to human health. Many CRCs are caused by the malignant transformation of colorectal polyps. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to CRC prognosis. The methods of diagnosing CRC are divided into imaging diagnosis, endoscopy, and pathology diagnosis. Treatment methods are divided into endoscopic treatment, surgical treatment, and drug treatment. AI technology is in the weak era and does not have communication capabilities. Therefore, the current AI technology is mainly used for image recognition and auxiliary analysis without in-depth communication with patients. This article reviews the application of AI in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of CRC and provides the prospects for the broader application of AI in CRC.

Application of artificial intelligence technology in the economic development of urban intelligent transportation system.

With the rapid development of the social economy and the gradual improvement of residents' living standards, the increasing number of urban cars has exacerbated urban traffic congestion. This article analyzed the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in five aspects of urban intelligent transportation systems. Artificial intelligence technology was used in traffic data collection and processing to provide accurate data support for traffic decision-making. A traffic flow prediction model was established for traffic flow prediction and optimized scheduling algorithms were used to dispatch vehicles on congested urban roads intelligently. Artificial intelligence algorithms can be used to optimize urban traffic signal control systems in intelligent traffic signal control; artificial intelligence technology can be applied to develop intelligent driving systems in the fields of intelligent driving and traffic safety; in terms of data analysis and decision support, it can use AI technology to analyze a large number of traffic data to provide decision support for urban traffic managers, and analyze the impact of the application of AI technology in urban intelligent transportation system on urban economic growth. This article evaluated the economic benefits of artificial intelligence technology in urban intelligent transportation systems. The evaluation results show that the total economic cost of the urban intelligent transportation system after the application of AI technology was 2,961 yuan less than before the application of AI technology, significantly reducing the investment cost of roads. This article analyzes the application of artificial intelligence technology in the economic development of intelligent urban transportation systems, which can meet the needs of healthy urban development and ensure road traffic safety.

In recent years, with the rapid development of network technology and information technology, artificial intelligence has become the development trend of modern technology. Over the past 50 years, scientists from various countries around the world have continuously explored artificial intelligence technology. Up to now, artificial intelligence has achieved great results. Compared with traditional modern technology, artificial intelligence has broken through the shackles of traditional technology, and has been highly sought after in various fields for its advantages such as being more convenient, more effective, saving time, labor and cost. Modern vocational education is an effective part of China’s higher education, mainly providing professional technical talents for the society. At present, vocational education has not been developing in China for a long time, and the application of computer technology in vocational education is even later. In recent years, although the rapid development of computer technology in China has promoted the development of vocational education to a certain extent, the actual application of computer technology in modern vocational education has lagged far behind the development of computer science itself. While many disciplines of artificial intelligence based on “knowledge engineering” have achieved certain results, modern vocational education still evolves traditional computer technology. Obviously, modern vocational education is far from artificial intelligence technology in computer application. How to effectively apply artificial intelligence technology to the summary of modern vocational education, make full use of the potential of computer technology itself, and bring new development opportunities for the development of modern vocational education has become an important issue that modern vocational education workers need to solve urgently. From the perspective of artificial intelligence technology, this paper deeply analyzes the current status and problems of the application of artificial intelligence technology in modern vocational education in China. And on this basis, this paper puts forward the feasibility suggestions for introducing artificial intelligence into modern vocational education technology. Applications of Intelligent Artificial and Communication Technologies in Intelligent Buildings

With the development of society and the progress of science and technology, more and more technologies are being applied to the intelligent building system. The study summarizes and analyzes the development status of intelligent buildings, then analyzes and generalizes the advantages, disadvantages, and applications of several artificial intelligence and communication technologies in the intelligent building system. Results show that this paper introduces the three applications of artificial intelligence systems in intelligent buildings, including expert control systems, artificial neural systems, and intelligent decision systems, as well as the application of communication technology in intelligent buildings, including virtual LAN technology, communication network technology and broadband network technology. Artificial intelligence technology can reflect the current situation of buildings to people in real-time, judge emergencies instead of experts, and make the best choice to prolong the service life and stability of buildings. Communication technology can help users realize remote offices and home offices. The application of these technologies in intelligent buildings may not be mature at this stage, but the development and application potential are still very considerable.

COVID-19, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), spread rapidly and affected most of the world since its outbreak in Wuhan, China, which presents a major challenge to the emergency response mechanism for sudden public health events and epidemic prevention and control in all countries. In the face of the severe situation of epidemic prevention and control and the arduous task of social management, the tremendous power of science and technology in prevention and control has emerged. The new generation of information technology, represented by big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, has been widely used in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of COVID-19 as an important basic support. Although the technology has developed, there are still challenges with respect to epidemic surveillance, accurate prevention and control, effective diagnosis and treatment, and timely judgement. The prevention and control of sudden infectious diseases usually depend on the control of infection sources, interruption of transmission channels and vaccine development. Big data and AI are effective technologies to identify the source of infection and have an irreplaceable role in distinguishing close contacts and suspicious populations. Advanced computational analysis is beneficial to accelerate the speed of vaccine research and development and to improve the quality of vaccines. AI provides support in automatically processing relevant data from medical images and clinical features, tests and examination findings; predicting disease progression and prognosis; and even recommending treatment plans and strategies. This paper reviews the application of big data and AI in the COVID-19 prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management decisions in China to explain how to apply big data and AI technology to address the common problems in the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the findings regarding the application of big data and AI technologies in sudden public health events lack validation of repeatability and universality, current studies in China have shown that the application of big data and AI is feasible in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These studies concluded that the application of big data and AI technology can contribute to prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management decision making regarding sudden public health events in the future.

To explore the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology on art design in colleges and universities, the development and application of AI technology are discussed and prospected. First, the characteristics of AI technology and art design in colleges and universities are analyzed as well as the relationship between AI technology and art design. Second, the application of AI in art design is introduced and discussed. The research results find that AI technology, with its rapid development and maturity, can reflect good synergy in all aspects of design. Art design can be more diversified, be of higher quality, and have a better overall effect through the application of AI technology. Meanwhile, the exploration of AI technology in art design can find the future orientation of AI. The results provide a theoretical basis for the application of AI technology in art design, clarify the influence of AI technology on art design in colleges and universities, and provide ideas for the development direction for future art design.
