Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this article we present the workshop Resistance in the Archive: Heritage, Dictatorship and Human Rights, designed and run by the Heritage Education Program, developed in partnership with the State of Rio Grande do Sul Public Archives (APERS) and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Presented from the Public Archives perspective and included into its educational activities and dissemination of its collections, the workshop is related to the historical context and the changes experienced by archival institutions and the Brazilian society in recent decades. In addition, the workshop works with sensitive documentation on civil and military dictatorship, which register recent history of resistance as well as such regime of exception and, at the same time, life histories marked by human rights violations.
