Abstract

I present a critical review of the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. Init, I discuss the problematic inclusion of Architecture in a Fine Art context, and also the eccentric prioritising of sociological and environmental concernsover and above the business of architecture. This is not to say that theselatter are of great importance, but it seems that the Architecture Biennale isnot confronting the humdrum and hyper-commercial project which concerns so manyarchitects today. I finally lament the lack of imaginative technology to makethe experience of architecture more vivid. This will probably be my last reviewof the Architecture Biennale.
