Antero lateral thigh reverse flap trader for coverage of massive soft tissue defect of the knee

Abstract

Objective To discuss the application of antero lateral thigh reverse flap for coverage of massive soft tissue defect of the knee.Methods Antero lateral thigh reverse flap was applied for repairing of 6 cases with massive soft tissue defect of the knee.The maximal area of skin flap was 20 cm×15 cm,and minimal area of skin flap was 12 cm×10 cm.Results All 6 flaps survived completey and fast intention of wound was obtained.After 6-12 months follow-up,all patients were satisfied.Conclusion The the antero lateral thigh reverse flap has a reliable blood supply and it can remain the main vessels,so it is a ideal method to repair the massive soft tissue defect of the knee.
