Abstract
This article is part of the initiative to find out about the content that is broadcast in Antena 3's sports newscasts. The study is based on a content analysis of the afternoon newscast, which has been carried out for five weeks (from August 8 to as of September 11, 2022). In addition, a comparative analysis has been carried out to see if there was a coincidence of content between the sports programs of Telediario de La 1 de TVE and Informativos Telecinco. The data collected shows little similarity in the themes and the hierarchy during the broadcasts, and that there is a notable amount of news pieces on Antena 3 that tell stories about sports that have little or nothing to do with sports news.
