Abstract
Annular pump beams from the unstable resonator of a transversely excited atmospheric CO2 power oscillator were efficiently converted to quasi-gaussian Stokes beams using a multiple pass cell. The conversion characteristics and the spatial profile of the Stokes beam were analyzed using a numerical model.
