Announcing Prof. Sayeef Salahuddin as New Editor-in-Chief

Abstract

The Electron Devices Society (EDS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Sayeef Salahuddin as the new Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE ELECTRON DEVICE LETTERS (EDL) as of January 2023. He succeeds Prof. Jesús del Alamo as he steps down as the Editor-in-Chief (EiC). Sayeef has served as an Editor for IEEE EDL (2013–2016) and was the Chair of the IEEE Electron Devices Society Committee on Nanotechnology (2014–2016). He is in EECS, University of California at Berkely, where he holds the TSMC Distinguished Professorship and co-directs the Berkeley Device Modeling Center and Berkeley Center for Negative Capacitance Transistors. Sayeef excelled in what was an exceptionally strong line up of candidates for the role. EDS is confident that Sayeef will build on the extraordinary achievements of Jesús, and is the right person to take EDL to new heights as the continuing premier and flagship publication of EDS.
