Abstract

The Journal of World Christianity was launched in 2008 as an open-source academic publication with Dale T. Irvin and Rafael Reyes III as founding coeditors. In 2016 the journal transitioned to Penn State University Press, which began publishing it in print while maintaining the availability of an electronic format. Dr. Irvin and Dr. Reyes continued to serve as coeditors, working with Penn State University Press, several associate editors, and a wider advisory board. After fifteen years of service, Dr. Reyes has now decided to step down as coeditor. All of us associated with the Journal of World Christianity thank him for his leadership and service over the years. We are pleased to announce that Raimundo C. Barreto Jr. joins Dr. Irvin as the new coeditor, beginning with volume 13, issue 1 (Spring 2023). Dr. Barreto is an associate professor of World Christianity at Princeton Theological Seminary, in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He has published widely in academic journals (including the Journal of World Christianity) and is the author and editor of a number of volumes. We welcome him to the position of coeditor and look forward to his leadership of this journal.
