Abstract

The dependence of the position of spin resonance on the tilt angle between the surface normal and the magnetic field direction observed in p-type InSb inversion layer can be explained quantitatively by the spin-orbit or Rashba term. From the analysis the sign and magnitude of the spin-orbit coupling constant are determined. We also demonstrate that the linear extrapolation of the spin resonance energy to zero magnetic field cannot be used to obtain zero-field splitting energy.
