Abstract

Angular distributions of decay products. Auger electrons and dipole photons, in resonant processes are reexamined, specifically in dielectronic recombination and resonant excitation scattering. The distributions in LS coupling are given for the energy- and polarization-averaged cross sections in the isolated resonance approximation. The resonant-transfer-excitation processes give similar distributions of their decay products. The effect of external electric fields in the interaction region on the distribution is also discussed.
