Abstract
With a large number of UHV projects completed and put into operation and a large number of new energy connected to the grid, the power characteristics and supply structure of the receiving end power grid with high power receiving ratio have changed. The security and stability of the power grid has become an important factor restricting the transmission capacity of UHV transmission lines. BESS(battery energy storage system) has the ability of fast power support, which can play a good role in supporting the stability of the power grid in case of bipolar blocking and other faults of UHV DC line, and can effectively improve the transmission capacity of UHV DC line. However, at present, there is a lack of relevant engineering demonstration and Application experience, and the application effect and application prospect of energy storage in this field are not clear. Based on the analysis of the main factors restricting the transmission capacity of UHVDC line, this paper analyzes the adaptability of BESS to the application of emergency power support after bipolar locking, establishes the analysis model of the effect of energy storage on the transmission capacity of UHVDC line, and simulates and analyzes the effect of energy storage on the transmission capacity of UHVDC line through an example, The relevant conclusions have important guiding significance for guiding the construction of power grid alternative energy storage demonstration project and promoting the wide application of energy storage in power system.
