Abstract

In this paper, statistic data of year 1995-2011 of China is grouped into panel data of eastern, central and western China to analyze long-term co-integration, short-term and long-term causal relationship between energy consumption intensity and economic growth and energy consumption structure in detail, it could be concluded that causal relationship between energy consumption intensity and economic growth and energy consumption structure are varying from region to region, which contain the policy implication that local government shall make their economic development and energy consumption policies with full consideration to the nature of relationship between energy consumption and economic development to avoid using others experience by rote.
