Abstract

This paper describes a simulation that analyzes the offset pressure change of a spinning rotor gauge (SRG). Long-term and short-term offset pressure simulations were applied to the start-up of a spinning rotor, and real measurements were also made. Simulations covered the cases where the rotor was first suddenly heated then left to cool, and where the rotor was left at room temperature. As a result, a model and method have been developed to simulate the start-up of an SRG. This model was applied to the influence of change in room temperature on the accuracy of the SRG during operation. For the rotor's start-up, the simulation results agreed well with those obtained experimentally. The simulation method was proven to be practical and valid.
